Mike Phelan has revealed what he will tell Manchester United’s players before the new season begins.
Mike Phelan said: “Well, we survived last season. It was hectic. But I’ve always felt if you want to be a Manchester United player and you want to be involved at Manchester United, you’ve got to look at the season from the beginning to the end, which could be 60-odd games long. That means that you’re doing something right, you’re in the competitions and you’re getting through to the end. That’s vital. So you set your mindset to that challenge, it’s not that I’ll play 20 games. No, your first thought should be, I’m playing 60 games. If you look at it that way, you get a really determined group of players who already to go August to May and beyond.”
