David Beckham said: “I think there are signs of the manager turning things around. There’s still a long way to go and there have been a few games where we haven’t been playing as well. But I think we’ve got a good manager there and I think he is changing things slowly.”

Ruben Amorim said: “No, we just wanted everyone to understand the game. I felt in the last 10 minutes of the first half that the opponent was struggling, and that they would struggle in the second half. We had that feeling. And we needed to do something to change the way we were playing.”
