Aston Villa head coach Dean Smith has issued an emotional vow to supporters ahead of their crucial match against Crystal Palace. Smith who is a boyhood Villa fan has faced criticism from some sections of the fanbase with the club in real danger of immediate relegation. Smith was emotional during his pre-match conference has revealed that he rarely visits his home between the game and what keeps him going.
Dean Smith said “My dog (What keeps him going?). He keeps wagging his tail at me every time I go home. Although I don’t feel like I’ve been at home too often. I’ve been in situations like this before and I’ve been out of it the other side. I won’t lose sight of what’s brought us to football in July and not having supporters here. There’s a bigger picture out there. Aston Villa is my life at the moment and my family’s life and we will be doing everything that we can to stay in the League.”
