Wolves duo John Ruddy and Fernando Marcal have spoken out to discuss their futures at Molineux ahead of the summer transfer window. Marcal said of the rumours
Fernando Marcal said: “We are talking. They came to me, showed interest and I see (the move) with good eyes. We are increasingly fine-tuning things and I believe this has a great chance of working. A new project at Botafogo. It’s the same club we know, really great in its history and its achievements. But it is experiencing a new moment, a new beginning and a new management. From what I have seen it seems very solid, with great ambitions, so this attracts the attention of any player, including me. And I see a great possibility of be part of this grandiose project.”
Ruddy, meanwhile, has dropped a hint that he will depart Molineux this season due to the “summer of transition” planned for Wolves. Discussing his future with the Wolves club website,
John Ruddy admitted: “On a personal level I’m not sure, it’s in the club’s hands, so I’ll wait and see what they say. As a club, it’s no secret that it’s going to be a big summer, a summer of transition. This group’s been together since I’ve been here, for five years, and has done exceptionally well. I don’t think we get enough credit as a group, what we’ve done over the period of time. It’s going to be a big summer and the club need a way forward and a plan of what they want to do.”
