Marcus Rashford says Manchester United have most of his teammates back in training ahead of the trip to Tyneside. The England international confirmed that the majority of players were taking part in training sessions after an outbreak of COVID-19. Speaking about preparation for the Newcastle United game,
Marcus Rashford said: “The lads have been training and today we brought all the rest of the lads back to training, there are only a couple left that will be coming in tomorrow. So, we’ve pretty much got the full squad back, which is a positive going into the week.”
Newcastle have so far escaped a similar outbreak of the virus, and despite several games being cancelled over the last fortnight, the Premier League has decided to push on with the festive fixtures which will see the Magpies face Everton on 30th December and Southampton on the 2nd January.
