Sean Dyche said he was left scratching his head as to how Burnley did not beat Albion. But he was willing to appreciate the Seagulls were coming off a big week. Albion dug in to force a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor. They weathered a storm in rain-lashed East Lancs to add a point to momentous wins over Tottenham and Liverpool in the previous seven days. Graham Potter praised his side’s efforts to cap a big week.

Sean Dyche said: “I thought it was a head-scratcher we didn’t get all three points. I’m very pleased with the performance. Only a tiny bit frustrated we don’t get all three because it was a very pleasing performance from the players. They have had big performances this week and it can take it out of their players. I’m not taking away from our players but it can. Maybe there’s a bit of that but that’s the way it goes. We’ve had those performances recently and we’ve had to follow in and get on with the next game.”
