Tottenham Hotspur registered a thrilling 4-3 victory against Sheffield Wednesday which opened up the tactical revolution by Ossie Ardiles. The team started the season with six points deficit because of their previous financial issues but the team thought that will not  affect their progress and their defensive woes.

Sheffield Wednesday gaffer, Trevor Francis said “You are not supposed to play football this way anymore. “It is the most adventurous line-up I have ever seen in management,”

With the likes of Jurgen Klinsmann at his disposal, Spurs seemed to be an effective poaching team rather than a balanced side. Tottenham had lined up with five forwards with two distracting attacking full backs and two central defenders. The team looked like they didn’t possess any midfielder to collect/steal the ball from the middle of the pitch. The team played with the strategy of  “If you have the ball, attack with joy. If you do not, pray.
