Mikel Arteta Arsenal
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed his unwavering conviction in Noni Madueke, despite initial resistance from fans regarding the England forward’s transfer. The hashtag #NoToMadueke gained traction on social media, leading to an online petition with 4,000 signatures. However, this only strengthened Arteta’s resolve to integrate Madueke into the team.
Mikel Arteta said: “If anything it gave me more conviction and more will to help him. And do everything we possibly could to make his relationship work and to prepare everything around him in the best possible way.”
Madueke’s impressive form in August quickly silenced critics, and his recent performance has delighted Arteta, who is considering starting him against Chelsea.
Arteta added: “I am very pleased with him since the day that he came with his attitude and what he has brought to the team. He has brought another type of threat with his capacity to play on the right and the left and his skillset is different to what we had. We saw that again on Wednesday. He started in one position and changed into another position and being very, very efficient. It is great to have him back.”
Arsenal aims to secure a significant victory at Chelsea, which would extend their lead to nine points over their London rivals. Arteta emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum after recent wins against Spurs and Bayern Munich.
Arteta highlighted: “Those are statements we are talking about every three days. So, after beating Spurs at home, then we had to make the statement again Bayern Munich. We’ve done that and now we have to go to the next one. That’s where we are.”
The Gunners are enjoying a successful run under Arteta, competing strongly in the Premier League, Champions League, and Carabao Cup.
