Steve Bruce has insisted he has no intention of resigning from his position – despite a training ground bust-up with Matt Ritchie and the club’s continued struggles above the relegation zone. When asked if he was prepared to stick it out for another season,
Steve Bruce said: “I sincerely hope so, but that’s for others to decide. What’s gone at the football club, let me tell you, and it’s vitally important you all understand it: Look, a bust-up, unfortunately, makes huge, huge headlines in Newcastle. The disappointing thing for me personally, and the club, is that unfortunately, the so-called journalist has got a source. Fair enough, but to try to derail us and cause all this noise before a big game, we could do without it.”
