Everton midfielder Allan believes Saturday’s draw with Liverpool will give his side more belief moving forward and that they will become “completely in sync” with one another.

Allan said “The Premier League is more intense, you have less time to think. You need to be ready at all times. I have been here for just over a month and I’ve been working every day in training on various aspects. Every day is an opportunity to learn and it’s a case of training hard. I think every day we can get better and better. I think, moving forward, we will be completely in sync with each other and be able to get the best out of each other as a team. It could have been a better result. We wanted to win the game and we knew how important it was going to be for us. We knew all about Liverpool’s quality, we knew how strong they were and that they would be coming at us all game. We had a hard first half but in the second half we improved and managed to create some goalscoring chances. I think the draw is a fair result and it gives us belief moving forward into the next game.”

The Blues played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon as Carlo Ancelotti’s side twice came from behind to continue their unbeaten start to the season. Ancelotti’s men came into the game looking to make it eight wins in a row but fell behind when Sadio Mane opened the scoring after just three minutes. A Michael Keane header then levelled things going into the break before Mohamed Salah fired the Reds back ahead in the second half. But a Dominic Calvert-Lewin header secured a point for the Blues, and Allan believes his side can raise their performance levels to even greater heights as they develop stronger relationships on the field.
