West Ham United manager David Moyes admits it is unlikely that the club will sign another striker in the January transfer window after Danny Ings’ arrival. Asked if he still wants to bring in another forward after Ings’ arrival, Moyes said it is unlikely West Ham will make another addition in that area before the window closes in 11 days’ time.

David Moyes said: “I don’t think we would have. I have to say thank you to the board as they have gone out and helped and backed us when we could see what we have been desperately missing, probably for the first part of the season – someone who could score some goals. They have helped us, so I don’t think we will be going back to the well, to be honest.”

Moyes also provided more of an update on Italian striker Scamacca, who is set for a short spell on the sidelines following a knee injury. While the Hammers boss is unclear as to how long the Italian is out for, Moyes has said that the Italian will be having injections for the next three weeks.

David Moyes added: “He has to take some PRP injections in his knee and it will be three weeks of injections in his knee. I don’t know when that means he is back. I just know that is the course of action.”
