Manchester United almost paid the price of taking their foot off the paddle against Swindon town at Old Trafford. Andrei Kanchelskis opened the scoring in the fourth minute before Eric Cantona and Mark Hughes gave united a comfortable lead with last 20 minutes in the match.

But Andy Mutch and Bodin gave two goals to the visitors, nerves started to come out at Old Trafford. But substitute Ryan Giggs provided a great assist for Hughes for the fourth goal that killed the game in the injury time. But manager Alex Ferguson was less than pleased with the result.

Alex Ferguson said, “There was a carelessness which was unhealthy, but when we are sharp and buzzing we are unbeatable.”
