Kenny Dalglish had tabled a “name your price” offer with QPR boss Gerry Francis to bring Les Ferdinand and Andy Sinton to Ewood Park. The Blackburn boss had been asked to wait until the spring, as had Liverpool manager Graeme Souness, who made an approach to the London club about Ferdinand.
