I am happy to wait to see them get it right, rather than give us some information, give us an update, give us a final verdict of what we’d like to do, and it’d be the wrong thing.”

Musgrove added: “There’s just so much things to consider. This is the reality of the situation – you can’t just build stadiums overnight. Tottenham’s stadium took quite a while to get done, and they were fortunate that they had a place to actually still play football – they went to Wembley. Newcastle haven’t got that. It’s not like they can start to even knock down St James’ Park and rebuild it because where would Newcastle United play then?”
