Moammed Kudus
Mohammed Kudus has made headlines during the international break by securing Ghana’s place in the 2026 World Cup. The Tottenham Hotspur star delivered a crucial second-half goal that ensured the Black Stars topped Group I, finishing six points ahead of Madagascar. Kudus’ performance has been a significant boost for Ghana and a personal milestone in his career.
Otto Addo said: “For me, personally, surely it’s a big achievement. But to be honest, I think more about us. It’s good for us, for everyone, for every Ghanaian. It’s good for the players, not only for me, so this is the most important thing.”
Kudus is set to return to London, where he will rejoin Tottenham Hotspur ahead of their Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Sunday. The former Ajax player has been in impressive form recently, scoring his first goal for Spurs against Leeds United before the international break. His recent performances have been a source of satisfaction for Tottenham’s management, who have been eager to see him improve his attacking contributions.
The Dane admitted: “Mo, again, getting his goal, which I’m pleased with. It was about time he scored that goal! But no, I’m so pleased for him. So, you just see he looked a little bit more fluid.”
Kudus’ recent form has been a welcome development for Tottenham, especially given the expectations placed on him by the coaching staff. His ability to score goals is crucial, particularly as Tottenham aims to bolster its attacking lineup. The former Brentford boss expressed his satisfaction with Kudus’ consistency and the importance of maintaining this momentum.
The former Brentford boss said: “[Kudus] impressed me the first season at West Ham and a little less last season. Looking from distance, they maybe didn’t have their best season for various reasons. I don’t want to go into detail, it’s very difficult to judge from the outside, [but] that maybe doesn’t help. From a player perspective, I can only really speak about the players I am coaching right now. I think he’s been quite consistent, so hopefully he can keep that going forward. That is definitely [our aim]. Definitely, all the front three or four players need to provide goals and score goals.”
Kudus’ recent achievements underscore his potential to become a key player for Tottenham. As the team prepares for their upcoming Premier League fixture, Kudus’ form will be closely watched, with hopes that he can continue to deliver on the field. His ability to score and contribute to the team’s overall performance will be vital as Tottenham seeks to climb the league table.
