Jesse Marsch faces a Leeds United defensive dilemma as he ponders how to prepare his side to be without Robin Koch. Koch picked up his fifth Premier League yellow card of the campaign last time out against Brentford and that means he will be suspended when the Whites go to Nottingham Forest next week. As such, he might be tempted to name Diego Llorente on the right side of defence against the League One outfit, with a view to keeping him in the side for the club’s trip to Forest, which already looks like a six-pointer in the club’s fight against the drop.

Jesse Marsch said: “Yeah, I think the reason why they performed well together is because they’re both very intelligent. Even though they hadn’t played together before I think they understand the tactical roles, the principles, and then they committed to it at a very high level on the day. So it’s a definite possibility that we can play with them again, but then we will have to figure out how to address missing Robin for the match against Nottingham, for sure.”

One man Marsch will be looking to get on the pitch, though, is Georginio Rutter, who is expected to make his debut for the club on Saturday.

Jesse Marsch added: “Yeah, I think first Georgie’s looked really good and training. I think there’s a high probability that we start with him and I think he’s impressed in training. He’s an intelligent guy and like I said before, by being in Germany he understands a lot of the principles that we use. So yeah, I’m excited to get him going for sure.”
