Everton manager Howard Kendall was going to send his players out on a revenge mission against Wimbledon with a simple message in their ears.
Howard Kendall said “Don’t allow the level of performance you set against Leeds to drop in any way, shape or form. We had the right attitude from the word go against Leeds. There were positives in all the departments, tackles were being made in the middle of the park. It was exactly the kind of performance that the team needed. Now it’s the cade of maintaining those standards to move still further up the table.”
Kendall was extremely happy with their performance against the champions.
