Wout Faes

Wout Faes is ‘not happy’ with the current situation at Leicester according to reports. On Monday afternoon, it emerged that the player has had talks with the Foxes leadership group regarding his future – he is unhappy with playing on the left side of defence according to Sacha Tavoliera. As a result, Faes is now ‘looking for a solution’ before the end of the transfer window on Friday night (11 pm). During the first two fixtures of the Premier League campaign, the Belgian has slightly switched positions; against Spurs, he was a left-sided centre-back in a traditional flat-back four. However, during the visit to Fulham has was part of a ‘five’ which saw him further toward the left flank as Victor Kristiansen – who played as a ‘wing-back’ – was given more license to get forward due to having Faes behind him as cover . This may come as a surprise to City fans after Faes got himself a goal during the 2-1 defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon. After the fixture, he credited his manager and even expressed his thoughts on his new responsibilities, speaking to Leicester City Football Club’s website ,

Wout Faes said “Then obviously the coach will speak to us about it and we will take that into training and improve. It’s all about the dynamics that he [Steve Cooper] puts into it. He gives me a lot of responsibility, which I like, so I hope to keep playing a lot and play all season. Of course, we now have to focus on the cup [against Tranmere Rovers] first. We have a good game at home again to get some momentum going into the weekend to maybe get the first win in the Premier League as well.”
