#Coronavirus #Survey – @PLM wants to hear from all #PLStaff of all @premierleague clubs

Premier League clubs have begun to place non-playing staff on furlough amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Furloughing is designed to support firms that have been badly hit by coronavirus, and to prevent mass unemployment. It will temporarily help pay the wages of people who can’t do their jobs, to help companies retain them. Being furloughed means employees are kept on the payroll, even though they aren’t working. Premier League clubs can claim 80% of their employees’ wages from the government, up to a maximum of £2,500 per person, per month before tax. The clubs can top up this pay if it chooses. It must write to affected employees to let them know they have been furloughed.

Mike Ashley, owner of Newcastle United has a net worth of $2.8 Billion. Yet, the club announced that they had utilised the government’s emergency fund designed to help protect businesses and employees.

Liverpool’s  owners – Fenway Sports Group have a net worth of $2.7 Billion. Yet, the club have chosen to furlough a significant number of staff

Tottenham’s Joe Lewis &  Daniel Levy have a net worth of $6.2 Billion. The club also has Chosen to furlough a significant number of staff.

To assess the reality on ground, Premier League Museum would like to hear from the fans, players and staff ( Full Time or temporary) how they have been treated by the clubs for whom they have given  blood and sweat…
