Following the crucial 3-1 victory over fellow premier league title contenders Norwich City, Manchester United announced that it had netted £4.6 million in taxable profits before the financial year half time whistle blew. The profit compared with £3.2 million in the corresponding six months a year earlier.
Chairman professor Sir Roland Smith said “The redevelopment of the Stretford end would provide a further 46 executive boxes next season and 846 executive seats, bringing the total capacity to 45000. The clubs is growing on and off the field and we will continue to work to improve.”
