Arsenal is reportedly interested in 21-year-old Silas Andersen as they look to strengthen their midfield for the future. Following the summer arrival of Christian Norgaard to replace Jorginho, the Gunners are keen on securing a long-term option for the number six position, according to football.london.
Silas Andersen said: “I don’t know. I’ll let my agent work on it, I don’t know much.” He added: “It’s [Arsenal] a big club. I would be happy. There is a lot of interest. Now people have to make a move, but we’ll see. I have no idea [about a January move].”
Ericsson said: “It’s quite reasonable. He’s a young player who is doing very well and who is of great interest. It would be strange if he were to say much else. With that said, I think he’s doing very well. He’s here both mentally and physically and pushes every day in training and matches. As long as he is, I don’t feel worried at all. Then we’ll see what happens in the winter.”
Ericsson continued: “We’ll see. Everything has to be right. For us, he’s a very important and high-profile player. So, it’s clear that something extra is needed. Exactly what that means is difficult to assess now.”
Silas Andersen is seen as a promising talent with a valuation between £4.6 million and £5.3 million, according to CIES. However, Ericsson hinted that the price could exceed expectations due to Andersen’s importance and profile. As Arsenal continues to evaluate potential signings, Andersen’s future remains uncertain, with decisions likely to unfold in the upcoming transfer windows.
