Yaya Toure has called the plan to build a statue of David Silva outside the Etihad Stadium “odd”. Toure joined City at the same time as Silva and made 316 appearances in his eight-year spell with the club -and even though he was delighted for Silva, he found the decision to be odd.
Yaya Toure said “The statue for Silva, I am very delighted, very happy. They gave him that. For me, it’s up to the club – I have nothing much to say about that. They can decide what they want. Is it odd though? Yeah. But I can do nothing about it because it is up to the club. The fans know better.”
