There have been plenty of stunning goals scored over the years at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace’s home ground has been the venue for some superb strikes in the Premier League, although not all have been scored by the Eagles.

Gareth Southgate vs Portsmouth – August 28, 1993

Picking up the ball in his own half, Southgate surged forward, going past the halfway line unopposed, before setting himself from distance and letting fly with an unstoppable shot in the 5-1 win.

Dean Gordon vs Derby – February 5, 1994

With Palace trailing 1-0 at home against the Rams, the ball fell to left-back Gordon, who took a touch to push the ball in front of him before unleashing a stunning strike from 30 yards into the top corner of the net.

Steve Staunton vs Tranmere – November 18, 2000

The left-back, who was on loan at Palace, struck the ball first time from close to the halfway line as it bounced towards him from Joe Murphy’s clearance, looping it over the despairing dive of the goalkeeper for his only goal for Palace.

Darren Ambrose vs Aston Villa – February 14, 2010

In an FA Cup fifth round tie, Palace were awarded a free kick some 35 yards out, with Ambrose stepping up and firing past Brad Friedel with a superb strike that arced away from the USA keeper into the corner of the net.

Mile Jedinak vs Liverpool – November 23, 2014

More than 25 yards out, the Australian midfielder stepped up to curl a free kick over the wall and into the corner of the net as Palace defeated Liverpool 3-1 at Selhurst Park.

Jordan Ayew vs West Ham – December 26, 2019

With time running out and the game seemingly heading towards a 1-1 draw, Ayew was passed the ball on the right wing by Connor Wickham. He cut inside across the edge of the box, spinning away from Declan Rice, before skipping past two defenders and deftly chipping the ball over Roberto to give the Eagles the victory.
