Nuno Espirito Santo has blasted his Wolverhampton Wanderers team’s ‘very bad’ showing after they were destroyed by West Ham at the London Stadium. Jarrod Bowen’s brace, a Raul Jimenez own goal and a stoppage time strike from Sebastien Haller saw West Ham thrash Wolves 4-0 on Sunday evening. The defeat is Wolves’ heaviest in Nuno’s three and a bit years at the helm and comes hot on the heels of losses to Stoke City and Manchester City.

Nuno Espirito Santo said “It was a very bad performance, A bad game. I think defensively we were not good – at all. We were disorganised, unbalanced, losing duels. Offensively we didn’t create. We weren’t able to break West Ham. Every time they went for an attack they had a chance of goal. In the second half, when we wanted to go for it, we still had the same problems. It was very disappointing. All of the game was very bad. We have to look at the things we should do better. Things inside of our idea. Our foundation is being compact, solid – and today we were not. That creates a lot of problems going forward, in terms of the game. I was feeling totally all right, We were prepared for the game. We were ready to play the game. The problems were not before the game, it was during the game.”
