Steve Bruce will welcome back Miguel Almiron to the club’s Benton base after his participation in the Copa America this summer.
Steve Bruce said “I know ultimately what I’d like as my first XI. Of course, but we have three big hitters who didn’t play at Burton. Miguel Almiron will join us, Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson too. You always have an idea of what your team will be but you have to prepare everybody which is two weeks away.”
The Paraguay international playmaker could play some part in one of Newcastle’s two remaining friendlies this week with a behind closed doors game away to Burnley and home clash with Norwich City on the agenda. Despite not making a breakthrough in the transfer window so far, Bruce admits he has a good idea of who will start in the first Premier League against West Ham.
