Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has declared that Leeds United have shown Manchester City can be beaten, ahead of the Midlands club facing the champions-elect next week. Villa go up against Guardiola’s men who were left reeling by Leeds’ 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium last Saturday.

Dean Smith said: “I believe Leeds have gone there and beat them 2-1 with two shots on goal so it can be done. It just shows you the crazy world of football. We have got a great belief in the team and our performance for the last 20 minutes against Fulham and today was a lot better.”
