David Raya has insisted that he’s happy at Brentford despite turning down two contract offers. The 27-year-old year has been heavily linked with moves to Chelsea and Tottenham after entering the final 18 months of his deal with the Bees. He’s featured 21 times for Thomas Frank’s side in the Premier League this season, keeping eight clean sheets. The Spaniard’s impressive displays for Brentford have, not only propelled the club into the European qualification places but also, attracted the interest of some top sides. According to The Telegraph, the Blues, Spurs and Manchester United are all circling Raya’s situation at Brentford ahead of the summer. The goalkeeper has brushed off the growing interest in his services, noting that a decision on his future will be made in May.

David Raya said: “I don’t think it’s the right time to sign a contract at the moment. I’m really, really happy and right now, I’m just thinking about doing the best for the team and trying to push for Europe. I was offered a new contract last year and one in January, but we didn’t reach an agreement. For now, a new contract is secondary. The most important thing is the team and the games. We’ll see where we are in May.”

Speaking to Spanish outlet AS, Raya has hinted that a move could be on the cards in Brentford do not clinch European football.

David Raya said: “Every player has goals and wants to improve. Now I am focused on my team and in the summer, we will see what happens. If they want to do business, they will have to do it but there is a long season left and I am only focused on doing it well. In the summer, we will assess my situation.”

Frank has already insisted that his £ 13.3 million-rated goalkeeper is happy at Brentford too.

Thomas Frank said: “I said many times I think he is among the best in the league and he has performed fantastic for us, but he is going nowhere. Let’s see. We are interested. I know David is very happy here, but there will be ongoing discussions of course.”
