David Moyes is planning for next season with West Ham United as the club aims to avoid relegation to the Championship. Media speculation in recent weeks have claimed Moyes was on the chopping block but football. London understands that the Scot has retained the backing of the West Ham board. And Moyes has said he has ‘no intention of leaving’ as he plans for another year at the London Stadium.

David Moyes said: “I’m planning for next season. I’ve got no intention of leaving. I’m getting on with my job, doing everything that I do and obviously, my head’s down and focused on how I’m getting myself more points at the moment, that’s the only thing I can think about.”

Should West Ham win the Conference League, Moyes added that it could be easier to sign players with the team competing in Europe for the third season in a row.

It could also change the perception of the team’s season,

David Moyes saying: “European football again which for us would be… you get it three years in a row and you start to become a regular. Hopefully at the end people say: ‘They didn’t have a particularly good league season but they stuck at it got themselves through and found a way through in the Europa Conference League’.

It may be seen differently then. Some people may see it as a success with a trophy, but others may see the league position as the most important and where you are judged on.”
