Brian Clough said “I’ve spent 41 years in the game and by now I am at a stage where I am ought to be able to enjoy my pension. I’ve talked with my family and its never easy to pick the right moment.”

Prior to the dreaded 1992-93 season, Clough had spent 18 years at Nottingham Forest, winning one league title, two European Cup and four Football league cup.
