Ian Rush assessed Robbie Fowler’s striking skills and predicted a premiership success for the youngster after his brace against Fulham. Fowler was set to make his debut against Chelsea in the league later that weekend Rush believed that Fowler had all the skills to succeed at the top level.
Ian Rush said “Robbie has looked sharp in training. He deserved his chance and he took it. I wasn’t surprised to see him get a goal. He did really well, I’m really pleased for him. Robbie is just starting out, and his goal will give him more confidence. It will be different against Chelsea because it’s another step up for him. But he’s proved he can do it at this level, and I have no real doubts about him. I have no doubt he will have a very good future.”
