Arsenal boss George Graham was taking nothing for granted when his travel-weary Arsenal launches their coca-cola cup defence at Huddersfield. Graham’s side journey north against after a hectic week on the move at home and on the continent was taking a toll according to him. Captain Nigel Pearson had a broken leg while striker David Hirst was doubtful after suffering a recurrence of his Achilles tendon problem.

George Graham said “I wish now we had decided to stay in the north after the Manchester United game. It took us five hours to get back because the motorway was so busy. It’s just been travelling playing and trying to rest these last few days. This will be the end of a hectic week for us and we will be looking to finish with a result. I’ll make sure everyone is up for it and no one is taking this match lightly.”
