Vinnie Jones was publicly criticized by manager Joe Kinnear after being booked for kicking Aston Villa’s Garry Parker in their 1-1 draw. Kinnear blasted the controversial midfielder in the dressing room after the game and called his behaviour “stupid” before adding “he’s got to calm down and learn not to go gung ho.”

Jones was part of the famous “Crazy gang” squad of Wimbledon and had frequent run-ins with officials with regards to his conduct. He had been banned for a long time due to his controversial acceptance in the documentary “soccer’s hard men” where he accepted that he cheated and injured opposition players during matches to win.
