Les Ferdinand, the QPR striker admitted that he would miss his fiercest critic when he faces Manchester United at Loftus Road in a few days time. Ray Wilkins, the evergreen former United star who had helped drive Rangers into a top-six Premier League place, had a broken leg.

Les Ferdinand said “We’ll miss him badly. As far as I’m concerned though, at least I’ll get some peace. Ray Wilkins has been on me all the time this season. Last season he didn’t have a go at me. When I made mistakes he put an arm around me but if I do something wrong now, its ‘I’ve told you about that – get it right.”
