Steve Nicol highlighted Liverpool’s main source of motivation for the remainder of their season: their fans. It had not been a happy term for the reds or their public who had continued to back Graeme Souness’ men in an incredible show of Unity. And Nicol praised the fans and spoke for the whole team.
Steve Nicol said “If you haven’t got the motivation, then you just go down the drain. Liverpool fans have had 20 years of great results. You can’t always have things the way you want. They’ve shown great support by the numbers that turn up every week. We need the support now and we are getting it.”
