The man in Kendal’s sights was Duncan Ferguson of Dundee. The tall striker had been linked with many clubs and was available for around £2 million. HE was still not a finished article and had multiple run-ins with regards to discipline problems but Kendall believed that he could be the man to pull his Everton side out of the trouble.
