Ronny Rosenthal Liverpool

Liverpool rejected reports that they had turned down a £100000 friendly in Malaysia rather than give in to demands not to play Israeli striker Ronny Rosenthal in the match. Israeli nationals were banned in the Islamic State of Malaysia but Liverpool chief executive Peter Robinson said “We have had no negotiations with Malaysia for two to three years. We wouldn’t consider going on tour during the season anyway and certainly wouldn’t go if there were any conditions attached.”
