Eric Cantona’s trouble with Leeds supporters did not seem like ending anytime soon. The former Leeds hero was given a hostile reception by fans still angry over his £1.2 million move to bitter rivals Manchester United.
A Leeds supporter had filed a police complaint claiming that the French striker spat in his face. The fan was sitting near the players’ tunnel said “I was doing nothing to provoke him. As he left the field he looked up to his left and spat on me. It was disgusting. If the police don’t any action, I am prepared to take legal action myself.”
