Watford striker Troy Deeney has said that Sam Allardyce could consider leaving West Brom at the end of the transfer window should the club not bring in the players he wants. His comments come after former striker Chris Sutton claimed that the former England boss could walk away from the Hawthorns should he not be happy with the transfer business. Allardyce has made no secret of his desire to make additions in January as he looks to lead the Baggies out of the Premier League relegation zone. Two players have also arrived, with goalkeeper Andy Lonergan and winger Robert Snodgrass both signing on the dotted line. However, Deeney says that the West Brom boss will be looking for more Premier League experience in the remaining weeks of the window.

Troy Deeney said “They’ve got some talented players there, no doubt, but I think in some of the game I’ve watched, I think naive would be the word I’d use in certain moments and I just think he wants that Premier League nouse, that nastiness to get them over the line, When you talk about them not being backed, they spent a lot of money [in the summer], they bought the boy in from Huddersfield, £18m they spent on him, they bought the boy from West Ham for £20m, so I think Billic was backed, It’s probably to what level of being backed did he feel he wanted. West Brom are never going to spend £100m straight out of the gate, he was backed and he bought players in he obviously felt could help the team. If he doesn’t get three or four players in, he could probably walk at the end of this month, because he could look at it and go this isn’t enough to what he’s renowned for, which is to keep teams in the Premier League.”
