Andriy Yarmolenko is not going anywhere. That is the message from his agent. The Ukrainian has struggled with injuries this season, missing a large chunk of the season before it was called to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Yarmolenko tore his adductor muscle in December, keeping him out of action until football was suspended, but he is back in training with the squad and is expected to be back when football resumes later this month. The 30-year-old had started the season brightly, scoring three goals in his first six appearances for the Hammers, but his injury and the fact he was making his appearances from the substitutes’ bench prior to that muscle problem, led to a number of reports that he could leave the London Stadium this summer.

Agent Sergey Serebrennikov said: “The quarantine has ended and Andriy is preparing for the upcoming games with West Ham. The manager is happy with his game and happy that Yarmolenko is part of the team. Talks about Fenerbahce are nothing more than fiction and creativity of the Turkish press. No offence to Fenerbahce, but the Turkish club and West Ham are on different levels. The English club is willing to keep Yarmolenko. When a club wants to sell a player, it declares so, but there were no such statements from the English club regarding Yarmolenko. The most important thing for Andriy now is to get fit after his injury. He will definitely help West Ham in the remaining matches of this season and I am sure will continue to play in England. He is one of the leaders of the current West Ham squad.”
