Things are now looking up for Jose Mourinho and Tottenham after such a frustrating 2019/20 season. Only securing a Europa League place on the final day following a nightmare start, the Lilywhites have started the current campaign strongly after the head coach revamped his squad in the summer with seven new additions. However, it’s a couple of the team’s longest-serving players in Harry Kane and Son Heung-min who have dominated the headlines so far after hitting 19 goals between them in all competitions. The latter has netted nine times in his last six games for Spurs and he looks like he is going to score each time he has a chance on goal at present.

Jose Mourinho said “He is in a good moment and the team, too. Which attacking player is not playing well? Nobody, The team, the way we are playing, I think it’s good fun to be an attacking player in our team. I imagine if Harry played tonight [Thursday vs LASK], what Harry could do. In this moment, it’s about team and of course they are in good form and mentally they are very sharp and of course Sonny has this capacity also to play in different positions and to make different angles to attack. He can play even from the right wing position so lots of quality there. I am but I’m sad with the empty stadiums, Tonight, I had an even worse feeling than in the Premier League. Maybe because of the way the stadium is – all of the orange logos of the Europa League all around the stadium, the beautiful big screens. Teams are playing with some fans, I’m not even speaking about full stadiums but with some fans … in the majority of countries it’s possible and we are going to have that next week in Belgium. It would be really great fun. I think the Tottenham fans, they have a little bit of that in their DNA – quality players, attacking players, attacking style … they would enjoy to be here to watch it. Depends on the team, They cannot say that about my Real Madrid team that scored 121 goals in the league. If they say that about the way to finish second with Manchester United or last season to try to get a way to finish top six and to be in the Europa League, I think they are right.”
