Tim Sherwood has described Son Heung-min as a “top drawer player” and someone that can help out with Tottenham’s Harry Kane problem. Kane is yet to score in the Premier League so far this season after a summer full of speculation over his future at Spurs, with the England captain reportedly wanting to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Nuno Espirito Santo has come out recently and issued his full support to last season’s Premier League Golden Boot winner, saying he is “relaxed” about the striker’s form.

Nuno Espirito Santo said: “It’s normal, it’s normal. Harry for sure is used to it, but we are relaxed. We know that Harry is much more than goals when it comes to what he does for the team. He is a fantastic football player, one of the best, and naturally goals will come.”

One man that has carried on his form from last season is Son, who has scored three goals and provided one assist in six Premier League appearances at the start of the campaign for Tottenham. Former Spurs boss Sherwood has waxed lyrical about the South Korea international, when speaking on Sky Sports News on Saturday afternoon.

Tim Sherwood said: “He is a top drawer player, I think the best player is Harry Kane, who is having a barren spell, players not giving him the service. But this player turns up, I think he can play for any team in the Premier League because he is so flexible. He affects the game, he is a real threat, he is an exciting player and he is a top drawer professional. I cannot speak highly enough of Son, Tottenham are lucky he has signed a long-term contract.”
