Ahead of West Ham’s visit to Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend, Graham Potter has revealed his admiration for Hammers boss David Moyes. Speaking to the press, Potter was full of praise for the job Moyes has done at West Ham but it was a personal touch from the Scot that the Brighton boss highlighted as the mark of the man. Prior to Brighton’s visit to the London Stadium in December, Potter’s father had passed away and the Seagulls manager spoke of a personal moment he had with Moyes.

Graham Potter said: “He came to see me when my father passed away just before we played them. He didn’t have to do that.”

The moment clearly meant something to Potter as five months on he thought to mention it when asked about his opposite number this weekend. Potter was also asked about the job Moyes has done with West Ham since his return to the club in December 2019.

Graham Potter added: “David has already conducted himself with incredible professionalism, the job he has done at West Ham is there for everyone to see.”
