Nuno Espirito Santo has issued a worrying update on the fitness of Willy Boly after the Wolverhampton Wanderers defender missed the derby draw with West Bromwich Albion. In a concerning update after the draw with Albion,

Nuno Espirito Santo said: “He’s in a tough moment. He was infected and this week he was not able to train. His heart rate increases very fast so we have to look. He’s doing exams and analysis to see if there’s any other issue. I hope not. I hope resting him and medically things will improve After Covid everyone has to look at the after effects of Boly and many other players. We must be aware of that. His energy is not there. He feels tired and he’s not able to sustain the level of training that we want.”

On the draw with West Brom at a soaking wet Hawthorns,

Nuno Espirito Santo added: “It was difficult conditions and a difficult opponent. We started well with possession and control and were dominant for most parts of the game. It was physical in tough circumstances and the boys fought, won duels and they were there. We should improve on certain aspects. Defensively at the beginning of the second half we had issues with the long ball of West Brom. And offensively we had chances to do better in the final part.”
