Injuries are a factor that, unfortunately, every Premier League manager has to deal with – and Carlo Ancelotti is clearly no exception.
Seamus Coleman said: “We don’t want to be harping on about injuries, there’s plenty of other teams doing that. It’s part and parcel of the Premier League season, injuries happen and unfortunately for us we’ve missed quite a few lads with injury.”
It’s an admirable stance to take, and one that is right on the money if we’re honest. Especially in the midst of this strange, pandemic-ridden season – everyone has had to cope with absences at one stage or another.
