#PLStories- #PepGuardiola loves how #KevinDeBruyne performs as a playmaker #MCFC

Kevin De Bruyne

Pep Guardiola called for more goals from Kevin De Bruyne as he marvelled at the playmaker’s ability to create chances.

Pep Guardiola said: “Quite good, huh? It’s not the first time he has done it. Now he has to score a goal. Next game he will do the passes and score goals. Kevin in this situation is extraordinary.”

De Bruyne also led the way in recoveries, winning the ball back 14 times to set a new season-high at the club in the Premier League. For his manager, this “non-negotiable” quality is why his teams work as hard as they do.

Pep Guardiola said: “I would say this is one of our identities. One of the most talented players in the world is able to do this kind of job. It happened from day one. There is no negotiation on this. You can play really bad, but in terms of running for your mates and running again and pressing high and continuing until the end you have to do it for your teammates because the next action might be for you. When this happens, it is an incredible step forward as a team. We can play good or bad but we cannot deny that in five years together all the players together run incredibly and fight every single game. That is one of the things I am most proud of.”
