Graham Potter said Albion got the balance spot on to secure a “fantastic” win at Anfield. The Seagulls secured a fourth clean sheet on the spin and also carried a threat as they beat Liverpool 1-0.
Head coach Graham Potter said: “It’s a fantastic performance and a fantastic result. There is no getting away from it for us. I thought we deserved the win. I thought the performance showed character, it showed quality. We had to defend, of course, and we did it well. We defended our box but we were also aggressive in terms of how we tried to press them. Then we had to have courage to play. We attacked and created some chances. I’m so, so proud of the players. It is a great result for everyone connected with the club. I think the key thing in football is that balance between defence and attack. We have been working on that throughout the season. The results haven’t been maybe as we would like them to be but our performances are pretty good. You get some wins and you get some points, confidence grows and belief grows.”
