Roy Hodgson insists that he is not overly concerned about the relatively short time left on his Crystal Palace contract. The 73-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, along with a number of his current squad. However, despite the short time left on his contract, Hodgson says that any uncertainties over his future are not his biggest concern as Crystal Palace manager.

Roy Hodgson said “No, I don’t think about it particularly, I think about the next game, the coming games and how important they are for us. I try to continue to enjoy working and do the best job I can for the club. But that’s not something I can honestly say is keeping me awake at night. If anything is going to keep me awake at night, it’s going to be the form of the team and what team to pick to play the next game. I am perfectly happy in my particular state of mind, to keep taking every day as it comes, to keep trying to do the job properly, to do it well, and then to see where that pans out in discussions with the club, and see how things go. He’s still with us, Nathaniel, I don’t know the full details of the contract. I haven’t been told them, I certainly wouldn’t want to… When I say I don’t know them, let me say I’m not anxious to disclose them. But the good thing is that he’s available to me as a player, he’ll be available for the next games if I want to use him because he has signed a contract with the club.”
