#PremierLeagueStories – Chelsea’s Vision is what Made #KaiHavertz reject other European Giants, Midfielder confirms #CFC

Kai Havertz chelsea

Kai Havertz has revealed why he snubbed interest from other clubs in the summer, claiming Chelsea were a side “with a vision.” The 21-year-old joined the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth £71million and so far he has scored four goals in 10 games. The attacking midfielder, who can also play as a winger, scored 36 goals and contributed 25 assists in 118 appearances for the Bundesliga club before moving to Stamford Bridge. The form of Havertz, who is Chelsea’s second most expensive signing after Kepa Arrizabalaga joined from Athletic Bilbao for £71.6million, attracted the attention of multiple European giants.

Kai Havrtz said “To me, it was important to have a club with a vision, We want to build something here and attack. This motivates me. And then, a title with Chelsea is just worth more. A transfer like this doesn’t happen overnight. I had enough to go through all options and things which are important to me. I was watching a lot of Premier League on TV anyhow and knew Chelsea really well. I help Timo with good passes on the pitch and, at the beginning, he helped me out with a lift to the training grounds, Sure, we do a lot of things together. This helps a lot. But we also must go our own ways to fully settle here. To me, the move to England is also important step for my personal development.”
