Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has hinted that he will take a step back from his work duties in the next decade.
Andrea Radrizzani said “The Premier League is the most important league in the world, and this involves the greatest appreciation for their teams. Leeds because they are one of the few clubs in the world with enormous potential for its history, traditions and fans. The company required a turnaround, which is what we are doing. The opportunity is truly great. I see myself dedicating more time to family, myself and social projects like Play For Change (a charity aiming to enhance life opportunities for under-privileged children through sport), and a little less time to business. Let’s say that, if I do 100% currently, the time I dedicate to work is 80%. I hope that in 10 years it will be about 30% family, 30% for me, 30% social projects.”
The Italian businessman has been at Leeds since 2017 and oversaw the team’s long-awaited promotion back to the Premier League last season. Under the guidance of renowned head coach Marcelo Bielsa, the Whites have made a promising start to life back in the top flight. Leeds are fifth in the table after taking 10 points from their opening six league fixtures. Leeds United are a club that find themselves at the centre of everything and with legendary manager Marcelo Bielsa at the helm, and the club finally back where they belong – that’s true now more than ever.
