Tottenham’s start to the 2020/21 season has been hit with some untimely injury news, with Son Heung-min the latest player to be sidelined. The South Korea international missed Tuesday’s Carabao Cup game against Chelsea, having only managed 45 minutes against Newcastle United at the weekend. And Son isn’t the only player to have missed out on the penalty shoot-out victory, with Gareth Bale still yet to make his second debut after returning to north London from Real Madrid. Manager Jose Mourinho was hopeful that Son could feature against his old side but confirmed that the Welshman will not feature in that match.
Jose Mourinho said “Sonny of course is not playing tomorrow, is a big doubt for Sunday but I don’t want to say he’s not going to play because maybe he does and then my position is not good, Bale cannot play tomorrow or even on the weekend, that I can confirm,”
